Configuring 163.com for an iPhone

How to configure 163.com

It is possible that Mail will find your e-mail configuration automatically, and configure your account. Follow these steps to try:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail then click Accounts
  2. Click Add Account > Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, your password with a description for your account
  4. Click Next. The Mail app will now try to find the e-mail parameters and finish your account setup. If the Mail app finds your email parameter, click Done to finish your setup.

In case the Mail app can't find your mail configuration, it means that you will have to enter them manually. You will need the following information:

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select IMAP or POP for your new account If you are not certain which one to opt for, contact 163.com.
  2. Type in the required details (You will take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
  3. If your email settings are correct, tap Save to finish the setup. If your e-mail setup is incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify them
  4. If you still aren't able to set up your email account, or save your e-mail settings, contact the e-mail provider.
