Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Configuring 16mail.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Configuration

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not provide both protocols. You may want to refer to the information below for the correct parameters.
    • IMAP protocol stores the emails on the server, and it will keep a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type the passphrase for the mail account and tap Next.
  3. Please use the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
