How to set up Vodafone 360 for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this post I will summarize how to configure Vodafone 360 with IMAP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple language.

What is Vodafone 360

Vodafone Group Plc is a British multinational telecommunications company. Its registered office and global headquarters are in Newbury, Berkshire, England. It predominantly operates services in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. As of November 2020, Vodafone owns and operates networks in 22 countries, with partner networks in 48 further countries. Its Vodafone Global Enterprise division provides telecommunications and IT services to corporate clients in 150 countries. Its services include domestic and international voice and data, machine-to-machine services, mobile email, mobile broadband, managed services, mobile payment and mobile recording. Setting up Vodafone 360

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Needed for Receiving Email

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both! Refer to the information below for available protocols.
    • IMAP protocol will store the e-mails on the server, but it will display a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended protocol in almost all cases.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Enter the password for your email account and tap Next.
  3. Please see the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail

  1. After you type in the configuration, you can click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please see the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
