
Setting up Dsl.Pipex.Com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)
In this article I will try to demonstrate setting up Dsl.Pipex.Com using SMTP and POP and IMAP for an Android Phone in a simple language.

Configuring Dsl.Pipex.Com:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Incoming E-mail Server Configuration
- Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both protocols! Please refer to the information below for possible protocols.
- IMAP protocol will store the mails on the server and it will display a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended in most cases.
- POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
- Type in the password for your email address and tap Next.
- Please refer to the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
- Now tap Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
Configuration Required for Receiving Email using POP
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually pop.DSL.PIPEX.COM or mail.DSL.PIPEX.COM) |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Configuration Required for Receiving Email using IMAP
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually imap.DSL.PIPEX.COM or mail.DSL.PIPEX.COM) |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Configuration Required for Sending Email (via SMTP)
- After you type the parameters, you can tap Next.
- Check Require sign-in
- Refer to the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
- Now click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually smtp.DSL.PIPEX.COM or mail.DSL.PIPEX.COM) |
Server Port | Usually 25 or 587 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
