Setting up Wind:
Mail app may find the e-mail configuration itself, then complete setting up your account. Follow the following steps first to see if that will be possible:
- Go to Settings > Mail, and tap Accounts
- Click Add Account > Other, and click Add Mail Account.
- Type your name (can be any name), email address, your password and a description for account.
- Click Next. The Mail app should try to find the email configuration and finish setting your account. If Mail finds the email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.
In case Mail didn't automatically set up your account, it means that you have to enter them yourself. We think you will find the info below useful:
Outgoing E-mail Server Settings (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually smtp.Wind or mail.Wind) |
Server Port | Usually 25 or 587 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. name@wind) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Settings
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually pop.Wind or mail.Wind) |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. name@wind) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Incoming E-mail Server (IMAP) Settings
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually imap.Wind or mail.Wind) |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. name@wind) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select either IMAP or POP. If you are not certain which one to select, contact Wind.
- Type the details (You might want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next
- If your mail configuration is correct, click Save to complete . If the email setup is incorrect, you will be asked to edit them.
- In case you still can't set up the email account, or store your e-mail settings, contact the e-mail provider.
