Configuring Alice for an Android Tablet

Configuring Alice:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Setup

1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not provide both protocols. Refer to the information below for the correct parameters.
   • IMAP stores the mails on the server, but it will show a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting for almost all users.
   • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your device.
2. Enter the passphrase for your email address and click Next.
3. Please refer to the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Incoming E-mail Server (IMAP) Settings

Outgoing E-mail Configuration (via SMTP)

1. Once the settings are filled in, click Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please use the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
