How to set up Aol.com for an iPad/iPhone

AOL was one of the early pioneers of the Internet in the mid-1990s, and the most recognized brand on the web in the United States. It is a brand marketed by the current incarnation of Yahoo! Inc. It originally provided a dial-up service to millions of Americans, as well as providing a web portal, e-mail, instant messaging and later a web browser following its purchase of Netscape. Setting up Aol.com
Mail can find your settings itself, and set up your account. Apply these steps to try:
- Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts.
- Click Add Account, then Other, then tap Add Mail Account
- Enter your name, email address, your password then a description for account.
- Tap Next. Mail should try to find the mail parameters and finish setting your account. If Mail finds the email settings, tap Done to finish your account setup.
If the Mail app couldn't find your mail parameters, then you have to enter them manually. I think you may need the following information:
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to opt for, contact Aol.com.
- Type in the required information (You will refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If your e-mail setup is correct, tap Save to finish . If your e-mail setup is incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify them.
- If you still are not able to configure the account or store the settings, contact Aol.com.
