With this blog I will simply summarize how to set up Aol.jp using in an easy to follow language...
First, a few words about Aol.jp
AOL was one of the early pioneers of the Internet in the mid-1990s, and the most recognized brand on the web in the United States. It is a brand marketed by the current incarnation of Yahoo! Inc. It originally provided a dial-up service to millions of Americans, as well as providing a web portal, e-mail, instant messaging and later a web browser following its purchase of Netscape. Configuring Aol.jp
Mail app can find your settings itself, and set up your account. Apply the following steps first in order to see if it can:
- Go to Settings > Mail and click Accounts.
- Click Add Account, tap Other, then click Add Mail Account
- Type in your name (can be any name), your email address, your password then a description for your account.
- Tap Next. The Mail app should now try to find the e-mail parameters and complete your account setup. If Mail finds the email configuration, click Done to complete your setup.
In case the Mail app couldn't automatically set up your account, then you have to enter them manually. I think you may need the information below:
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to choose, contact Aol.jp.
- Type in the information (You may want to have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If the e-mail setup is correct, tap Save to complete . If the e-mail settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to edit those settings.
