Setting up Apple.com:

Mail app may find your e-mail configuration itself then complete setting up your account. Apply the following steps first in order to see if it will:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail, and click Accounts
  2. Click Add Account, click Other and click Add Mail Account
  3. Type your name (can be any name), your email address, your password with a description for account
  4. Tap Next. Mail should now try to find the email settings and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds the email parameter, tap Done to finish your account setup.

In case Mail didn't automatically set up your account, it means that you need to enter them yourself. We think you may find the following table useful:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings

Server Hostnamemail.apple.com
Server Port993
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSYes

Outgoing Mail Settings (via SMTP)

Server Hostnamemail.apple.com
Server Port587
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSYes

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select either IMAP or POP If you are not certain which one to select, contact Apple.com
  2. Enter the information (You might have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
  3. If your email settings are correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If the email setup is incorrect, the Mail app will ask you to edit those settings.
  4. In case you still can't set up the e-mail account or store the settings, contact Apple.com.
