
How to configure Astound.net for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)
With this post I will summarize configuring Astound.net using POP and SMTP for an Android Device in a simple way!

Setting up Astound.net:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Configuration Required for Receiving Email
- Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both options. Please refer to the information below for the correct settings.
- IMAP will keep the emails on the server but it will keep a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
- POP3 downloads the mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
- Type in the passphrase for the email address and tap Next.
- Please use the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
- Now tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Server Port | 995 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Outgoing Mail Server Configuration (via SMTP)
- After you type in the parameters, you can click Next.
- Enable Require sign-in
- Please use the following information to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
- Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Server Port | 465 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
