How to configure Astound.net for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Setting up Astound.net:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Required for Receiving Email

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both options. Please refer to the information below for the correct settings.
   • IMAP will keep the emails on the server but it will keep a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
   • POP3 downloads the mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
2. Type in the passphrase for the email address and tap Next.
3. Please use the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Incoming Mail Server (POP) Configuration

Outgoing Mail Server Configuration (via SMTP)

1. After you type in the parameters, you can click Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Please use the following information to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
