How to configure Bbtel.com for an Android Phone

With this post we will simply summarize how to set up Bbtel.com using IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow fashion.

Setting up Bbtel.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Setup

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both! Refer to the information below for possible parameters.
    • IMAP protocol will store the mails on the server, and it will keep a copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol for almost all users.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Enter the password for your e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Please see the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Sending Email

  1. After you type in the parameters, you can tap Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
