Configuring Bigpond.net.au for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)
With this post I will teach you configuring Bigpond.net.au using IMAP and SMTP for an Android Tablet in an easy to follow way.

Setting up Bigpond.net.au
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Setup Needed for Receiving Email
- Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both options! Refer to the information below for possible protocols.
- IMAP protocol stores the mails on the server but it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
- POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
- Enter the password for the mail account and tap Next.
- Please see the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
- Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration (using SMTP)
- Once the settings are entered, click Next.
- Enable Require sign-in
- Use the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
- Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
