How to configure Brighthouse.com for your Android Phone

How to configure Brighthouse.com:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Settings

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both. Please see the information below for available parameters.
   • IMAP protocol will store the emails on the server but it will display a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your device.
2. Type the password for the email account and click Next.
3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Receiving Mail using IMAP

Outgoing Mail Setup (via SMTP)

1. Once the parameters are typed in, you can tap Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please see the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
