Configuring iCable

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Setup

  1. Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both. Refer to the table below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP will store the emails on the server and it will keep a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type the passphrase for the e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Refer to the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
