How to set up Cox.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Configuring Cox.net:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Setup

1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both. Please see the information below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP keeps the mails on the server and it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
2. Type the password for your e-mail account and tap Next.
3. Please see the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) Setup

Outgoing Mail Server Configuration

1. Once the settings are typed in, you can click Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please use the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
