How to set up Docomo.ne.jp for an Android Phone
In this post we will simply summarize how to setup Docomo.ne.jp using IMAP and SMTP for your Android Tablet in an easy to follow fashion.

Setting up Docomo.ne.jp
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Incoming E-mail Setup
- Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both options. You may want to check out the table below for possible parameters.
- IMAP protocol will store the emails on the server and it will keep a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended setting for almost all users.
- POP3 will download the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android phone.
- Type in the passphrase for the mail account and tap Next.
- Please see the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
- Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending Email (via SMTP)
- After you type in the settings, you can tap Next.
- Turn on Require sign-in
- Refer to the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
- Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
