Configuring Eastlink.ca for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)
With this article we will try to demonstrate how to configure Eastlink.ca with IMAP and SMTP for an Android Device in a straightforward language!

Setting up Eastlink.ca:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Setup Required for Receiving Email
- Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both protocols. Please check out the information below for possible settings.
- IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server, but it will display a copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
- POP3 downloads the emails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
- Enter the password for your mail address and tap Next.
- Please refer to the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
- Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing Mail Server Configuration (using SMTP)
- Once the parameters are typed in, you can click Next.
- Check Require sign-in
- Refer to the following information to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
- Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
