How to set up Echidna.id.au for your iOS Device
In this article I will try to teach you configuring Echidna.id.au using POP and SMTP in a straightforward fashion!

Configuring Echidna.id.au:
Mail may find the configuration automatically, and configure your account. Follow the following steps to find out if it will:
- Open Settings, then Mail, and tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account, tap Other, then click Add Mail Account
- Type your name, email address, your password then a description for your account
- Click Next. The Mail app should now try and find the email parameters and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds the email parameter, click Done to complete your setup.
If Mail didn't find your email parameters, it means that you will have to enter them manually. You will need the information below:
Configuration Needed for Receiving Mail with POP
Server Hostname | mail.echidna.id.au |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Configuration Needed for Sending Mail (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | mail.bigpond.com |
Server Port | 25 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose either IMAP or POP. If you don't know which one to choose, contact Echidna.id.au.
- Enter the required information (You might take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If the e-mail setup is correct, click Save to complete . If your e-mail settings are incorrect, the Mail app will ask you to edit those settings
- If you still can't set up the account or store your e-mail settings, contact your provider.
