How to configure fast-mail.org for your iPad/iPhone
With this article I will try to demonstrate how to setup fast-mail.org using IMAP and SMTP in a simple fashion!
First, a few words about fast-mail.org:
Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Setting up fast-mail.org:
It is possible that the Mail app will find the parameters automatically and complete setting up your account. Follow the following steps first to try:
- Go to Settings > Mail, and tap Accounts.
- Click Add Account > Other then click Add Mail Account.
- Type your name (can be any name), your email address, password with a description for account
- Tap Next. Mail should try and find the email configuration and finish your account setup. If Mail finds the e-mail configuration, click Done to finish your setup.
In case Mail couldn't automatically set up your account, then you have to enter them yourself. I think you may find the information below useful:

Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select either IMAP or POP. If you don't know which one to choose, contact fast-mail.org
- Type in the details (You might want to have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
- If your e-mail setup is correct, tap Save to complete . If your email setup is incorrect, you will be asked to modify the configuration
- If you still aren't able to setup your email account or save the e-mail settings, contact the e-mail provider.
