History of fastmail.es
Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Configuring fastmail.es
It is possible that the Mail app will find your e-mail parameters itself and configure your account. Apply these steps first to try:
- Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts
- Click Add Account, then Other then click Add Mail Account.
- Type in your name (can be any name), email address, your password then a description for account
- Tap Next. Mail should now try and find the e-mail parameters and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds the e-mail parameter, tap Done to complete your setup.
If the Mail app couldn't automatically set up your account, it means that you have to enter them yourself. You will find the information below useful:
Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Settings
Server Hostname | imap.fastmail.com |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |

Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP or POP If you are not certain which one to opt for, contact fastmail.es
- Type in the details (You may want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If your email setup is correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If your e-mail configuration is incorrect, the Mail app will ask you to edit those settings
- In case you still are not able to setup the email account or store the settings, contact your e-mail provider.
