Setting up Fibreop.ca for an Android Phone

Configuring Fibreop.ca:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Settings

1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both. Refer to the information below for the correct protocols.
   • IMAP stores the emails on the server and it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
2. Type in the password for the mail address and tap Next.
3. Use the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Incoming E-mail (POP) Setup

Outgoing Mail Setup

1. Once the parameters are filled in, you can tap Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
