Configuring Gmx.org for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

How to configure Gmx.org

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Setup

1. Choose the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both protocols. Refer to the table below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP keeps the mails on the server and it will keep a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for most users.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
2. Type in the password for the mail account and tap Next.
3. Please use the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration (via SMTP)

1. Once the parameters are filled in, you can click Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please use the following information in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
