Setting up Gnubox.com for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this blog I will simply demonstrate how to configure Gnubox.com with SMTP and IMAP for an Android Device in a straightforward fashion!

Configuring Gnubox.com

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Setup

  1. Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both. Refer to the information below for the correct settings.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server, but it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your device.
  2. Type in the passphrase for the e-mail account and tap Next.
  3. Please see the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration

  1. Once the settings are filled in, you can click Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the following information to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
