Configuring Godaddy.com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this article we will simply demonstrate setting up Godaddy.com using POP and SMTP for an Android Tablet in a straightforward way!

Setting up Godaddy.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Setup

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both. Refer to the information below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP stores the emails on the server, but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
    • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Type the passphrase for the email account and click Next.
  3. Use the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)

Outgoing Mail Configuration (via SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, you can tap Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
