Setting up Hinet.net
It is possible that Mail will find the configuration itself, then configure your account. Apply these steps to try:
- Open Settings, then Mail then tap Accounts
- Click Add Account, tap Other and tap Add Mail Account
- Type your name, your email address, your password and a description for account.
- Click Next. Mail will now try to find the e-mail settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email parameter, click Done to complete your setup.
If the Mail app hasn't been able to find your email parameters, it means that you have to enter them yourself. You may need the following information:
Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Configuration
Server Hostname | msa.hinet.net |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration
Server Hostname | msa.hinet.net |
Server Port | 25 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | NONE |
SSL/TLS | No |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP or POP for your new account. If you don't know which one to choose, contact Hinet.net
- Enter the details (You might refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If your e-mail settings are correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If the mail settings are incorrect, you will be asked to modify those settings.
- In case you still are not able to set up your account, or save the email settings, contact Hinet.net.
