Configuring justemail.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this post we will simply explain configuring justemail.net with IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion!

First, a few words about justemail.net:

Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Configuring justemail.net:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Setup

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not provide both options. Refer to the information below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the emails on the server, but it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended in most cases.
    • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type the password for your e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Please use the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration (via SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please see the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
