How to configure Kidcity.be for your Android Phone

With this blog we will try to explain how to setup Kidcity.be using SMTP and IMAP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward language.

How to configure Kidcity.be

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Needed for Receiving E-mail

  1. Choose the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both options. Please check out the table below for available protocols.
    • IMAP protocol will keep the e-mails on the server but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type in the passphrase for the mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please refer to the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Settings Needed for Sending Mail (using SMTP)

  1. After you enter the configuration, click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please use the following information to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
