Configuring Windows Live for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Configuring Windows Live:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving Mail

1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both! You may want to refer to the table below for possible protocols.
   • IMAP will keep the e-mails on the server but it will keep a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for most users.
   • POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your device.
2. Enter the passphrase for the e-mail account and click Next.
3. Please use the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Settings Required for Sending Email

1. Once the settings are typed in, you can click Next.
2. Turn on Require sign-in
3. Use the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
