First, a few words about mymacmail.com:

Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Setting up mymacmail.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving Email

  1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both options! Please check out the information below for possible settings.
    • IMAP protocol will keep the mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for most users.
    • POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type in the passphrase for the email address and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

  1. Once the settings are filled in, you can click Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
