Setting up Nettally.com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this article I will simply demonstrate configuring Nettally.com using POP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion.

Configuring Nettally.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Required for Receiving Mail

  1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both options! Refer to the table below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP protocol will keep the emails on the server but it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol for almost all users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android device.
  2. Enter the passphrase for your email account and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending Email (using SMTP)

  1. Once the settings are filled in, you can tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Use the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
