Setting up O2 UK:

Mail app may find the parameters itself and configure your account. Apply the following steps in order to see if that is possible:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts
  2. Click Add Account, tap Other and click Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, your email address, your password with a description for account
  4. Click Next. Mail should now try to find the email settings and set up your account. If Mail finds your e-mail settings, click Done to finish your account setup.

In case Mail hasn't been able to automatically set up your account, it means that you have to enter them yourself. We think you may find the following information useful:

Incoming Mail Server (POP) Configuration

Server Hostnamepop.o2.co.uk
Server Port110
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSNo

Outgoing Mail Server Configuration

Server Hostnamesmtp.o2.co.uk
Server Port25
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSNo

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select either IMAP or POP for your new account. If you don't know which one to choose, contact O2 UK
  2. Type the details (You will refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next
  3. If your e-mail settings are correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If the email settings are incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify the configuration.
  4. If you still can't setup your e-mail account, or store your e-mail settings, contact the email provider.
