Configuring Pchome.com.tw for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this article we will simply demonstrate setting up Pchome.com.tw using POP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion!

How to configure Pchome.com.tw:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Settings

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both options. Refer to the information below for possible settings.
    • IMAP will keep the mails on the server, and it will show a copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol for most users.
    • POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type in the passphrase for the e-mail address and tap Next.
  3. Use the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Sending Mail (via SMTP)

  1. After you enter the parameters, you can tap Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please see the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
