Configuring Planet.nl

Mail can find the email parameters itself, and set up your account. Apply the following steps to find out if that will be possible:

  1. Open Settings, then Mail and tap Accounts.
  2. Click Add Account, then Other, then tap Add Mail Account
  3. Type your name, email address, password and a description for account.
  4. Click Next. The Mail app will now try to find the mail settings and finish your account setup. If the Mail app finds the e-mail configuration, tap Done to complete your setup.

If the Mail app couldn't find your email settings, it means that you will have to enter them manually. You may find the info below useful:

Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration

Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Configuration

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Choose IMAP or POP. If you aren't certain which one to opt for, contact Planet.nl.
  2. Type in the required information (You might take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
  3. If your mail configuration is correct, click Save to finish the setup. If the mail settings are incorrect, you will be asked to edit those settings
  4. If you still can't set up the email account, or save your email settings, contact Planet.nl.
