How to configure Porta
Mail app can find your e-mail settings itself, then set up your account. Follow these steps in order to try:
- Go to Settings > Mail then click Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other then click Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name (can be any name), email address, your password with a description for your account.
- Click Next. Mail should now try and find the mail configuration and finish setting your account. If Mail finds the email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.
In case the Mail app hasn't been able to automatically set up your account, then you have to enter them yourself. I think you will need the following information:
Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Settings
Server Hostname | mail.porta.net |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Settings Needed for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | mail.porta.net |
Server Port | 25 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select IMAP or POP for your new account If you don't know which one to opt for, contact Porta
- Type in the details (You will want to take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If the email setup is correct, click Save to finish . If the e-mail settings are incorrect, you will be asked to edit the configuration.
- In case you still can't configure the email account, or save the email settings, contact the provider.
