How to set up Sohu.com for an Android Device

Configuring Sohu.com:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Email Settings

1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both! Please check out the information below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP will store the e-mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 will download the e-mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
2. Enter the password for your mail account and click Next.
3. Use the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Configuration Required for Receiving Email via POP

Outgoing E-mail Setup (using SMTP)

1. After you type the settings, tap Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Refer to the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
