How to configure Sw.rr.com for your iPad/iPhone
With this article we will try to explain setting up Sw.rr.com using IMAP and SMTP in an easy to follow language...
What is Sw.rr.com:
Spectrum (RoadRunner) is a trade name of Charter Communications, used to market consumer and commercial cable television, internet, telephone, and wireless services provided by the company. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectrum_(TV_service)
How to setup Sw.rr.com:
It is possible that Mail will find the configuration itself and set up your account. Apply these steps in order to see if that will be possible:
- Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts
- Click Add Account > Other, then click Add Mail Account.
- Type your name (can be any name), your email address, your password with a description for account
- Click Next. The Mail app will now try and find the mail settings and complete setting your account. If Mail finds the email configuration, click Done to complete your setup.
In case Mail can't automatically set up your account, it means that you need to enter them manually. I think you may need the following information:
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) Setup
Server Hostname | mail.twc.com |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Outgoing Mail Server Setup (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | mail.twc.com |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select either IMAP or POP for your new account. If you don't know which one to select, contact Sw.rr.com.
- Type in the details (You might want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next
- If your e-mail configuration is correct, click Save to finish the setup. If your mail settings are incorrect, the app will ask you to edit them
- In case you still can't setup the account or save the e-mail settings, contact the provider.
