Configuring T-com.du for your Android Tablet

With this article we will simply teach you how to set up T-com.du with POP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward language!

How to setup T-com.du:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Email Server Configuration

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both options. Refer to the information below for the correct settings.
    • IMAP keeps the emails on the server, and it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Enter the password for the email address and tap Next.
  3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Settings Required for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

  1. After you type in the settings, you can tap Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please see the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
