Setting up Telus for your Android Tablet

How to setup Telus

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Email Server Configuration

1. Select the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not provide both options. Please refer to the information below for available settings.
   • IMAP stores the e-mails on the server, and it will display a cached copy on your device. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android device.
2. Type in the passphrase for the email account and click Next.
3. Refer to the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Setup

Configuration Required for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

1. After you type in the configuration, you can tap Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Please refer to the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
