Configuring Tpg.com.au for an Android Tablet

With this post we will simply teach you configuring Tpg.com.au with POP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow way.

Setting up Tpg.com.au:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Email Server Configuration

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both options. Refer to the information below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP protocol will store the emails on the server and it will show a copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type in the password for your mail account and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Sending Email (via SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please use the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
