How to configure Vodafone.co.uk for an Android Tablet
With this post I will simply explain configuring Vodafone.co.uk using for an Android Device in a straightforward fashion.
What is Vodafone.co.uk:
Vodafone Group Plc is a British multinational telecommunications company. Its registered office and global headquarters are in Newbury, Berkshire, England. It predominantly operates services in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. As of November 2020, Vodafone owns and operates networks in 22 countries, with partner networks in 48 further countries. Its Vodafone Global Enterprise division provides telecommunications and IT services to corporate clients in 150 countries. Its services include domestic and international voice and data, machine-to-machine services, mobile email, mobile broadband, managed services, mobile payment and mobile recording. Setting up Vodafone.co.uk:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Incoming Email Configuration
- Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both! You may want to see the information below for available settings.
- IMAP protocol will keep the e-mails on the server but it will show a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
- POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android phone.
- Type in the passphrase for your mail address and tap Next.
- Please use the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
- Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
Settings Needed for Sending Email
- Once the settings are filled in, tap Next.
- Turn on Require sign-in
- Use the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
- Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
