How to configure Wans.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this article we will demonstrate how to set up Wans.net using IMAP and SMTP for your Android Device in a straightforward fashion.

How to configure Wans.net:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving E-mail

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both options! Please see the table below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server, and it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android device.
  2. Enter the password for your mail account and tap Next.
  3. Please refer to the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing Mail Configuration (using SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are entered, you can tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the following information in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
