Configuring Web.de for an Android Phone

Configuring Web.de:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving Mail

1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both! Please refer to the table below for available protocols.
   • IMAP protocol keeps the e-mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol for most users.
   • POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
2. Type in the passphrase for your email account and click Next.
3. Please see the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

1. After you enter the parameters, click Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
