How to set up Yahoo.com.hk for your iPad/iPhone
In this post we will explain configuring Yahoo.com.hk with IMAP and SMTP in an easy to follow language.
What is Yahoo.com.hk
Yahoo! Mail is an email service launched on October 8, 1997, by the American company Yahoo, Inc. It offers four different email plans: three for personal use (Basic, Plus, and Ad Free) and another for businesses. As of January 2020, Yahoo! Mail has 225 million users. Users are able to access and manage their mailboxes using webmail interface, accessible using a standard web browser. Some accounts also supported the use of standard mail protocols (POP3 and SMTP). Since 2015, users can also connect non-Yahoo e-mail accounts to the webmail client. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Mail
Setting up Yahoo.com.hk
Mail may find the e-mail settings automatically then configure your account. Follow these steps to try:
- Open Settings, then Mail, and tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other, and click Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, email address, your password and a description for your account.
- Tap Next. Mail should try and find the email settings and complete setting your account. If the Mail app finds your e-mail settings, click Done to complete your setup.
If Mail couldn't automatically set up your account, it means that you will have to enter them yourself. We think you will need the following information:
