What is Yahoo.com.ph

Yahoo! Mail is an email service launched on October 8, 1997, by the American company Yahoo, Inc. It offers four different email plans: three for personal use (Basic, Plus, and Ad Free) and another for businesses. As of January 2020, Yahoo! Mail has 225 million users. Users are able to access and manage their mailboxes using webmail interface, accessible using a standard web browser. Some accounts also supported the use of standard mail protocols (POP3 and SMTP). Since 2015, users can also connect non-Yahoo e-mail accounts to the webmail client. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Mail

How to setup Yahoo.com.ph

Mail may find your email configuration automatically, and set up your account. Follow the following steps first to try:

  1. Open Settings, then Mail, then click Accounts.
  2. Click Add Account > Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, your email address, password and a description for your account
  4. Tap Next. Mail will try to find the e-mail configuration and complete setting your account. If the Mail app finds your email parameter, tap Done to complete your setup.

If Mail can't find your mail settings, it means that you will have to enter them manually. I think you will find the following information useful:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Configuration

Server Hostnameimap.mail.yahoo.com
Server Port993
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)

SSL/TLSYes

Configuration Needed for Sending Mail (via SMTP)

Server Hostnamesmtp.mail.yahoo.com
Server Port465
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Choose either IMAP or POP for your new account If you aren't certain which one to opt for, contact Yahoo.com.ph.
  2. Type in the required details (You will have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
  3. If the email setup is correct, tap Save to finish . If the e-mail configuration is incorrect, the app will ask you to edit them.
  4. In case you still can't setup your account, or store the e-mail settings, contact Yahoo.com.ph.
