How to configure Yahoo.de for your iOS Device

What is Yahoo.de:

Yahoo! Mail is an email service launched on October 8, 1997, by the American company Yahoo, Inc. It offers four different email plans: three for personal use (Basic, Plus, and Ad Free) and another for businesses. As of January 2020, Yahoo! Mail has 225 million users. Users are able to access and manage their mailboxes using webmail interface, accessible using a standard web browser. Some accounts also supported the use of standard mail protocols (POP3 and SMTP). How to setup Yahoo.de:

Mail app may find the configuration itself then configure your account. Follow the following steps in order to find out if it will:

1. Go to Settings > Mail, and tap Accounts
2. Click Add Account > Other and tap Add Mail Account
3. Type your name (can be any name), email address, password with a description for account.
4. Tap Next. The Mail app will now try to find the email configuration and set up your account. If the Mail app finds the e-mail settings, tap Done to complete your setup.

In case Mail didn't automatically set up your account, it means that you need to enter them yourself. You will find the table below useful:

Incoming E-mail Server (IMAP) Setup

Outgoing E-mail Server Setup (via SMTP)

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

1. Select either IMAP or POP. If you don't know which one to opt for, contact Yahoo.de
2. Type the required information (You might want to take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
3. If the mail settings are correct, tap Save to finish the setup. If your e-mail settings are incorrect, you will be asked to edit those settings
4. In case you still are not able to configure your email account, or store your e-mail settings, contact Yahoo.de.
