Setting up Ziggo.nl:
It is possible that the Mail app will find your e-mail settings itself, then set up your account. Apply the following steps to try:
- Go to Settings > Mail, and click Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other, and tap Add Mail Account
- Type your name, email address, password then a description for your account
- Click Next. Mail should try to find the mail parameters and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email parameter, click Done to complete your setup.
In case Mail couldn't find your e-mail configuration, it means that you will need to enter them manually. We think you will need the information below:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Setup
Server Hostname | imap.ziggo.nl |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Outgoing Mail Setup (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | smtp.ziggo.nl |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select either IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to select, contact Ziggo.nl.
- Type the required information (You might refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If the e-mail configuration is correct, click Save to finish . If your mail settings are incorrect, you will be asked to edit them.
- In case you still can't set up the account or save your e-mail settings, contact Ziggo.nl.
