How to configure Ziggomail.com for your iPad/iPhone
With this post we will summarize setting up Ziggomail.com using IMAP and SMTP in an easy to follow language...
Setting up Ziggomail.com:
It is possible that Mail will find the e-mail parameters automatically, then set up your account. Apply these steps first in order to find out if that will be possible:
- Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account, tap Other then click Add Mail Account.
- Type in your name (can be any name), your email address, password with a description for your account
- Click Next. The Mail app should try to find the e-mail settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds the email parameter, click Done to complete your account setup.
In case Mail hasn't been able to find your email configuration, then you will need to enter them manually. We think you will find the following information useful:
Setup Needed for Receiving E-mail via IMAP
Server Hostname | imap.ziggo.nl |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |

Settings Needed for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | smtp.ziggo.nl |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select either IMAP or POP for your new account. If you are not sure which one to choose, contact Ziggomail.com
- Type in the details (You may want to have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If your e-mail configuration is correct, click Save to complete . If the e-mail setup is incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify those settings.
- If you still can't configure the email account or store the settings, contact your provider.
