How to configure 123mail.org for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)
With this article I will try to demonstrate how to configure 123mail.org with IMAP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward language.
What is 123mail.org:
Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. How to setup 123mail.org:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Configuration Required for Receiving E-mail
- Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both protocols. You may want to see the information below for available settings.
- IMAP protocol will keep the e-mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
- POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
- Type the password for your mail address and click Next.
- Refer to the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
- Tap Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing E-mail Server Configuration (using SMTP)
- After you type in the parameters, click Next.
- Enable Require sign-in
- Use the following information to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
- Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
