How to configure Roadrunner.com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this article we will simply summarize configuring Roadrunner.com with IMAP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow way.

First, a few words about Roadrunner.com:

How to configure Roadrunner.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving E-mail

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both options. You may want to see the information below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the emails on the server and it will keep a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
    • POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Enter the password for your e-mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing E-mail Server Settings (using SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, you can tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the following information in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
