Configuring 139.com:
It is possible that the Mail app will find your parameters itself, and configure your account. Apply the following steps first in order to find out if it can:
- Go to Settings > Mail and click Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other and tap Add Mail Account.
- Type your name (can be any name), your email address, password then a description for account.
- Tap Next. Mail should now try and find the mail settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds the email configuration, click Done to complete your setup.
In case the Mail app couldn't automatically set up your account, it means that you will have to enter them yourself. We think you will need the following information:
Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Setup
Server Hostname | imap.139.com |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Outgoing E-mail Setup
Server Hostname | smtp.139.com |
Server Port | 465 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to choose, contact 139.com
- Type the required details (You might want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If your mail setup is correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If your mail settings are incorrect, you will be asked to edit them
- In case you still can't setup the email account or save the e-mail settings, contact 139.com.
